Hello everyone. My name is Kimberly
Bebon and I am a twenty year old junior attending New Mexico
State University studying to become a social worker. During my
spare time I enjoy shopping, reading, exercising, pageants, creating
art, eating, movies, and anything to keep me physically active |
My reason for
entering this pageant is because I have learned that all dreams are
possible through determination. My dream is not to win a rhinestone
crown but to win a greater understanding of myself and those around
me. I know that winning the crown would be an amazing experience
but I believe the importance in pageants lie in the experiences themselves
and what a person is able to take out of them. I wish each and every
single girl in this competition sincere good luck. It is not the
gown or crown that makes her beautiful but her heart that makes her
a queen. I feel that this is important to remember not just when
competing in pageants, but in our daily lives.
We are now a global community and I would like to share my favorite quote by a strong Hispanic female, Rosa Guerrero. Let us celebrate our differences, similarities, and diversity, as this quote says, that is what makes us beautiful. “We are the threads that are woven into a multicultural tapestry,
the fabric of American life. We are the notes in a chord of music…if
all the notes were the same, there would be no harmony, no real beauty…because
harmony is based on differences, not similarities.” -Rosa Guerrero Kimberly
