She was selected to be on the show as part of the "where are they now" portion of the gala event. She was the 1990 spokesmodel winner and wanted to know what she's been doing since her win on the show and thought that MS. BELLEZA LATINA looked incredible. Morayma Cruz, Ms. DC was featured on the cover of one of the largest Hispanic local papers in New Jersey "El Especialito". Tanya Crespo was interviewed by Ritmo Magazine in Chicago when she was Ms. Illinois Belleza Latina. They will be doing a follow up with a larger piece on her since winning the national title. here to read the article. (May 8, 2001) Selina Nowacynski Gutierrez, Ms. Michigan was featured in a local paper called De Mujer a Mujer. The USMC Reserve Center have decided to "adopt" Antonia, Ms. Louisiana Belleza Latina, as their mascot in assisting them with their "Toys For Tots" campaign. She has been set up for 8 appearances around the metropolitan New Orleans area with the Marine Corps. They will all be broadcast on radio and she will be signing autographs. Yvonne Badillo, Miss OK Teen Belleza can be seen in the latest issue of Pageantry Magazine. There is a picture of her as a visiting queen at the Miss OK National Teen-Ager pageant. Click here to see photo. Antonia Segura, Ms. LA Belleza has been chosen for the publication "Deans List 2000-2001" due to academic standing. On August 1, you will be able to see Cecilia Montalvo, Ms. NJ Belleza in a Wu-Tang Clan video on MTV called "La Rumba". MTV's "Making of a Video" was also there, so keep a look out for Cecilia - she's one of the dancers. Selina Nowacynski, Ms. Michigan Belleza has been signed to a modeling contract with Detroit's The Talent Shop. Yvonne Badillo, Ms. OK Teen Belleza won 1st place and a gold medal at Folklorico Dance compeition for Dance Showcase USA. She was elected Oklahoma State Youth Chair for the organization American GI Forum. She was also awarded Oklahoma Youth of the Year, "in appreciation for your continuous and unselfish contributions as Lead Dancer for the GI Forum Estrellas, and for outstanding youth group leadership activities, and for all the community service done on behalf of the American GI Forum".
